Day Two of the PDC European Tour in Hamburg was full of compelling matches and huge shocks. Day Three promises to possess the same drama and entertainment of the past two days.

Englishman, Peter Hudson, provided the most staggering result, defeating Belgian, Kim Huybrechts, 6-5, in a match he’s sure to remember for a long time. Hudson is ranked 95th in the PDC Order of Merit; 83 places below Huybrechts, a statistic that makes the result even more of a shock. Hudson now faces another tough test in Alan Norris who beat Finish darts player, Marko Kantele, in simple fashion. Norris will feel confident he can end Hudson’s impressive run and it’s tough to see the underdog grabbing another shock win.

ALAN NORRIS TO WIN AGAINST PETER HUDSON – 8/15
Young English prospect, Michael Smith, strolled into the next round with a 6-1 victory over Mike De Decker. Smith is improving ten-fold in 2017, following a disappointing Premier League campaign in 2016 that took a big knock at his confidence. Smith won the last PDC Tournament in Gibralatar and will feel confident he can do the same in Hamburg. Smith faces Andy Hamilton in the next round. Hamilton impressively beat Australian and ex-Premier League player, Simon Whitlock. Hamilton will struggle in this match, and should find Smith’s power scoring and impressive run on the doubles too much to handle.

MICHAEL SMITH  TO WIN AGAINST PETER HUDSON – 2/9

Mensur Suljovic completes our preview with his game against Dave Chisnall. Mensur will have the slight psychological advantage as he often prospers on the PDC Circuit against tricky opposition. Promises to be a close one.

ALAN NORRIS TO WIN AGAINST PETER HUDSON – 8/15

With plenty more matches scheduled for Sunday, we are sure are in for a good day of darts. The PDC Tour 2017 has already provided us with some big shocks and I can’t see any different occurring this time around. Michael Van Gerwen enters the tournament in this round and will be many people’s favourite to win this competition. Can the Dutch darting wizard add another trophy to his large cabinet?

MVG TO WIN EUROPEAN TOUR – 4/6

Suggested Bet:

Suljovic, Smith & Norris all to win their matches – 3.12/1
