Two smart individuals in this race from yards that have tasted success this year with their juveniles. Roger Varian’s newcomer Sam Lord is apparently well thought of by the trainer and was well mentioned recently on twitter when supposing to make his well awaited debut last week, however he was pulled that day and comes here as one of interest.
However, I am with the very expensive purchase of Emaraaty who represents John Gosden. He is beautifully bred being by Dubawi and cost a snip at £2.6m guineas at the sales.
He is also well related being half brother to Izzy Top and Jazzy Top who were both very useful, he just gets the nod ahead of Sam Lord.

15.20 Sandown – British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes (D11) (7f)
John Gosden is again well represented here with another Dubawi colt in Graffiti Master. Another expensive purchase fetching just over £550,000 as a Yearling.
Being half brother to the smart Mount Nelson and full brother to Easy Victory there is expectations of a good show on debut.
Even though my selection will have much competition from a few in this, Owen Burrows could also have a smart colt on his hands in Zaajer who is well related to Convergence and smart juvenile miler Zaakhir. He could most definitely be the one to watch in the race under Jim Crowley.

19.40 Down Royal – Dale Farm Dromona Mares I.N.H Flat
Willie Mullins will no doubt have a strong favourite in this in True Self who looked very smart when landing his bumper at Galway by eight lengths.
However, the eye catching booking of JJ Code on Dawn Shadow could give her something to think about. Despite losing her form since landing a competitive bumper at Downpatrick this year, she deserves to go close here and looks value against the likely fav in True Self.
